No, Siri, not that Casper! The other day I was trying to look something up with my phone, and it kept bringing me to the wrong Casper. I was trying to look up information about Casper the city that is named after Lt. Caspar Collins. I was NOT looking for the friendly ghost, but my phone kept bringing me to the incorrect information. There are a few characters, people, and products that use our good name. Here are a few things that are named Casper, or with a slight variation, that has little to do with Wyoming.

  • Casper the Friendly Ghost

This ghost has nothing to do with Casper, Wyoming. There may be ghost residing in our town, but there is little proof that they exist nor knowledge if they are friendly or not.

  • Casper Slide

The Casper Slide was invented by skateboard legend Rodney Mullen. He was revolutionary in a style of skateboarding called Flatground. Basically you are grinding on a part of the deck most people have their feet on.

  • Casper Mattress

This mattress is made in New York City?! Get a rope.

  • Caspar Lee

I don't know how to describe this YouTuber... maybe an intentional train wreck with celebrity guests.

  • Casper Flip

Sometimes called a Casper 360 flip or just Casper flip, this trick was created by Rodney Mullen, too. Originally it was called a magic flip. We are glad he changed the name.

  • Casper the German Gangster Rapper

Grab your lederhosen and let's get krunk. The German rapper used to be more into Nu Metal, but has since gone to all hip-hop. I don't know what he is saying, but it sounds cool.
