A Number One Hit! – 30 Years ago [AUDIO]

Last week I shared with you a memory when I posted the Number One country hit from 40 years ago.  It was a country classic from Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn.

Well, I have to confess, I really got a kick out of the steel guitars and old school production values.  So, today, as I was doing the top 20 countdown on the air, I figured I'd share with you once again. 

I always referred to this duo as "the relatives".  Shelly West is, of course, the daughter of the great Dottie West.  David Frizzell is the brother of Country pioneer Lefty Frizell.  If that weren't enough, Shelly ended up married to David Frizzell's brother.   Keep it in the family says I.
