Results from the 2015 statewide high school assessments show little change in student performance.

"It is very stable," said Superintendent of Public Instruction Jillian Balow. "Not up, not down, from last year."

The Wyoming Accountability in Education Act requires 9th graders take ACT’s Explore assessment, 10th graders take the ACT Plan and 11th graders take the ACT.

"It really is the first in a series of data that we receive about high school students that schools will then in turn use to make meaningful data driven decisions about student achievement," said Balow.

Balow says the tests are intended to predict college readiness as measured by the ACT. This is the third year the tests have been administered.
