Well tonight's American Idol results show was a shocker! In my mind James Durbin was one of the remaining contestants left that was surely safe tonight along with Scotty McCreery. I thought wrong and I am guessing I am not alone in that. After Hailey flubbed up her first performance last night I thought she would be going home.

Meanwhile Lauren Alaina has come on stronger than ever with some amazing performances. She gets the award for most improved in my book and she is right in the running to be in the finals. It has been exciting to watch her grow and stretch herself on the show. It is hard to believe she is only 16!

'American Idol' season 10 is now officially down to the final three contestants; Scotty McCreery, Haley Rhinehart, & Lauren Alaina. Over 72 million votes were cast this week, making it the highest top-four vote ever in the history of the show. There is obviously some real passion out there!

Unfortunately, even record-breaking numbers weren't enough to save James Durbin who understandably cried his way through his final performance on the American Idol stage. The 22-year-old rocker was sent packing Thursday night, marking yet another surprise in an already surprise-heavy season. Honestly it is hard to watch any contestant go home at this point.

Thursday night's elimination was between rocker James Durbin and country singer Scotty McCreery, a duo that many predicted would make it to the finals.

On a lighter note, Thursday's results show featured performances from Enrique Iglesias, Lady Gaga and Jordin Sparks, duets from the remaining contestants and the world premiere of Steven Tyler's new video. This music video is actually pretty cool and Steven Tyler is actually begining to grow on me as the show progresses.

Do you think that James Durbin deserved to be eliminated? Will you miss his rockin' wild voice? Do you think he has a successful career ahead of him?

Voice your opinion now, and relive James Durbin's memorable first audition performance.
