That’s right, the days of collecting “Jingle Bucks” around Laramie before Christmas are unfortunately gone as Hometown Holiday Hurrah is no more, but the concept is still alive and well. Laramie’s Chamber of Commerce decided to end the Hometown Holiday Hurrah promotion earlier this month, but radio stations around town have jumped in and pooled their resources to bring the community Santa’s Bag-O-Cash in its place.
Snowy Mountain Lodge, located just up the road from Snowy Range Ski Area, has served as a base for exploration in the Snowy Range since it was built in the 1920’s. The Lodge, which now includes 18 additional cabins, was originally built as a science camp for the University of Wyoming and although it is no longer used by the University it still serves as a base for those spending extended time in the Snowy Range. In recent years, ownership of the Lodge has changed hands many times and has not been operational during the last few winters.

Halloween is always a special time for all kids as they set out to fill themselves full of sugar. However before any of that happens one critical component must be taken care of; the costume. While we aren’t quite lucky enough to have Jeff Dunham come to Laramie, he will be performing at the Budweiser Events Center at 7:30 PM on the night of October 6th. If you haven’t been down to the Budweiser Events Center before it will only take you about 1 1/2 hours to get down to Loveland, CO. The Budweiser Events Center is actually Jeff’s first stop on his brand new tour for Controlled Chaos!
