Howdy. It's been my distinct pleasure to be in radio since I was just a kid. The fact that I've never really had to work for a living is a big comfort. I started in a small station in Thermopolis, WY and never looked back. I've pretty much always been enamored with small market radio. It's a profession that allows you to do nearly every single job, and hopefully excel at most of them. I'm proud to be associated with such a GREAT country station as KCGY Y95. Southeast Wyoming, Northern Colorado and Western Nebraska are truly fortunate to have such great quality Country 24/7. I'm always happy to throw the older stuff in with the top 20 selections we bring you. Thanks for listening the THE BEST COUNTRY IN THE COUNTRY. AND GO POKES!

Garth Brooks Birthday Today – Happy Big 5-0
Happy Birthday to one of the most talented and influential country artists OF ALL TIME!! There, I got the hero worship out of the way. Seriously, though, Troyal (don't laugh, Troyal was his dad's name) Garth Brooks was born fifty years ago today in Tulsa, OK.

Tim McGraw – Strong Showing for Emotional Traffic
When I first heard of the "feud" between Tim McGraw and his record label, I asked myself "I wonder if this is over money, artistic input or both?". Turns out, it was artisitic in nature. The label simply didn't think that his latest CD Emotional Traffic was up to par.
Dierks Bentley – Home [VIDEO]
Here's why this is one of the best songs Dierks Bently ever did. It's a love song for America. It doesn't threaten anyone. It doesn't pound its chest. It doesn't threaten to put a boot up anyone's ass. It is exactly what it tries to be: A song that tries to show just why we should all be proud of our Home.
Friday Fun Pack Song

It's seems like just yesterday when I first heard Randy Travis' Forever and Ever Amen. But, time moves on and before you know it, a quarter-century has passed you by.
Brad Paisley and Water = Hope
So, ever hear of the program/charity Water = Hope? Really? Well I hadn't until I found myself idly cruising through my vast collections of homepages for country stars and found an article about it on Brad Paisley's homepage.
