The trails at Curt Gowdy State Park are rocky technical terrain with some areas of small boulders, but overall a good sequence throughout the course. Johnson Creek is a great spot to get out and enjoy the summer sun in the water. Many residence do not know about this secret gem, but it is a blast to splash around with friends. The reservoir is narrow enough in some areas to swim across, but it also has excellent cliff for cliff jumping. Johnson Creek Reservoir is located about 30 miles northwest of Laramie.
