    Vedauwoo is a great place to go and explore with friends and family. Located at exit 329 on Interstate 80 between Laramie and Cheyenne, it is a quick drive for a day full of amusement. This playground of Mother Nature offers awesome hiking, camping and rock climbing.

    Snowy Range Scenic Byway – Summer Drive

    The Snowy Range Scenic Byway is a relaxing way to spend a summer day. The drive will take you through the Medicine Bow Mountains and parts of the Medicine Bow Forest. Drive time ranges from an hour with no stops, to however long you feel like exploring. There are many areas to stop and observe the breathtaking views of Wyoming in the summer.

    Curt Gowdy State Park – Mountain Biking

    Curt Gowdy State Park is known throughout the country for all of the outdoor entertainment it has to offer. This state park provides awesome trails for mountain bikers of all levels to ride on. The trails at Curt Gowdy State Park are rocky technical terrain with some areas of small boulders, but overall a good sequence throughout the course. So grab the bike and helmet and check out the adrenalin filled trails of this state park.

    Johnson Creek Reservoir – Cliff Jumping & Swimming

    Johnson Creek is a great spot to get out and enjoy the summer sun in the water. Many residence do not know about this secret gem, but it is a blast to splash around with friends. The reservoir is narrow enough in some areas to swim across, but it also has excellent cliff for cliff jumping. Johnson Creek Reservoir is located about 30 miles northwest of Laramie.

    Medicine Bow National Forest, upper North Platte River – Fishing

    The upper section of the North Platte River is known for being remote. Perfect for fly fishing. You can find great spots where you will not see any other fishermen; instead there is all the fish you could imagine. If you are in the mood to get away from the day to day responsibilities and have a relaxing day to yourself take a trip to Medicine Bow National Forest.
