Big Laramie River Mosquito Control

The Big Laramie Mosquito Control Corporation has announced an aerial application of pesticide along the Big Laramie River.

The application is set to take place on Thursday, July 6, weather permitting.

The targeted area includes acreages on either side of Highway 230 near the 5 mile marker to Woods Landing. The targeted area includes Pahlow Lane, Lake Hattie, and the Harmony area, in addition to any irrigated meadows close to Sand Creek and along the Laramie River.

During this time, it is advised that beekeepers cover their beehives while the planes are in the air. Individuals in the area with any medical concerns about aerial applications of Malathion are recommended to stay indoors during the application
