CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — The Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo will have a new stock contractor next year for the first time in more than 36 years.

The Frontier Days General Committee is going with Smith Pro Rodeos, of Athens, Texas, to provide livestock for the 116th annual Frontier Days next July.

Harry Vold and his family had been providing livestock for Frontier Days but their contract was up for the 2012 rodeo.

Frontier Days officials say they chose Smith Pro Rodeos from five proposals that were submitted. Smith has been named the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Stock Contractor of the Year for seven years in a row.
