A Cheyenne police officer's CPR is being credited with saving the life of a man who was having a heart attack.

Cheyenne Police Department spokesman Officer Dan Long says the department will be awarding a lifesaving medal to Officer Caresa Marino on September 12.

"Officer Marino's quick action saved the man's life," said Long.

The award ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. at the Cheyenne Public Safety Center.
