A Cheyenne man has been charged with three counts of burglary after police matched his DNA to a partially eaten peanut butter and jelly sandwich left at the scene of the crime.

Twenty-five-year-old Zachary Munoz made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court this (Wednesday) morning.

According to court documents, Munoz broke into 4 Rivers Equipment on three separate occasions in early September and stole thousands of dollars worth of Stihl power tools, including concrete saws, chainsaws and a backpack blower.

Munoz is being held in the Laramie County Detention Center on $5,000 cash bond. His preliminary hearing has been scheduled for December 1.

Munoz is facing up to 30 years in prison if convicted.
