After a day in which tornadoes were reported in Albany County, the Cheyenne office of the National Weather Service on June 7 is again warning about the possibility of large hail, 60 mph winds, and maybe even a few tornadoes in southeast Wyoming.

Multiple tornadoes were reported in the Laramie area Wednesday evening, with one touching down about 7-9 miles from Laramie. Preliminary reports indicate there may have been some property damage caused by those twisters, but so far no injuries or deaths are known to have occurred.

The service issued this statement early Thursday morning:

"A risk of severe storms is still expected for today, more probable east of Interstate 25. Please stay aware late this afternoon into the evening hours as severe storms develop again. Main hazards will be large hail to the size of golf balls and wind gusts over 60 mph. A few tornadoes are also possible. Storms will form just west of Interstate 25 in the mid to late afternoon hours, and will move east over the plains through this evening. Activity will decrease by late this evening."
