To commemorate Laramie's 150th anniversary this summer, the City of Laramie has teamed up with First Interstate Bank to show a three film series at the Edgar J. Lewis Bandshell, located in Washington Park.

The series will kick off on Saturday, June 23 with a showing of Rango. Though the movie is not likely to start until 8:55, depending on lighting, the event will start at 7 p.m. with music, contests, and more to keep attendees of all ages entertained. Free popcorn will be provided by the Friends of Community Recreation Foundation. Those who plan on attending are encouraged to dress for cool weather and to bring their own chairs, blankets, and snacks.

Dates are not yet set for the other movies, but there plans to show The Three Amigos in July, and The Apple Dumpling Gang in August. When asked if there are plans to continue the series next summer, Parks and Recreation Director Todd Feezer said "I hope to continue it for many years to come."
