As we reported earlier, Multiple Sclerosis is a subject very close to Clay Walker's heart. And now, comes word that he has scheduled his third Annual Chords of Hope benefit concert.

Clay has been battling the disease since 1996 and has dedicated his time since then to raising money and awareness. The 3rd Annual Chords of Hope concert will take place at 3rd and Lindley in Nashville.

All monies raised will go to help fund MS research at Nashville's Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Those joining Clay on stage include his friends and colleagues Jerrod Niemann, Hal Ketchum and Sarah Marince.

He describes the effort as special to him because he gets to play with friends and still raise funds for a worthy cause. The concert is part of his parent organization called Band Against MS. That group has raised more than 2 million dollars since starting in '96.

Good on Clay. And hopefully he'll be able to continue his fund-raising efforts and his own personal battle for years and years to come.
