The 2012-2013 Wyoming men’s basketball team self-destructed after a 13-0 start.  Part of the downturn came after star Guard Luke Martinez was charged with aggravated battery and assault after an incident at a bar in downtown Laramie.

The charge left Martinez with a $150,000 lawsuit for damages and suspended from the team.

Wyoming players don’t want there to be any off-court drama this year.  Junior teammates Derek Cooke and Charles Hankerson brainstormed the idea of a place where the basketball team could enjoy themselves, but not get into trouble.   The result is 624, a new nightclub just for Pokes.

The best part of the club, the attendees don’t even have to leave the dorms.  624 is Cooke and Hankerson’s room number.

The club will feature a strict curfew and each player is only allowed to bring a couple of friends.

The Wyoming basketball season tips off on Halloween with an exhibition game against CU-Colorado Springs.
