CMA Awards – Preview Special

The CMA awards coming up in November are already creating a buzz and they've spawned a brand new special on ABC.  The CMA Close Up Special is already in the can and is currently airing in selected markets.  The network is offering the special to their affilliates across the country.

Local ABC affilliates will air the special probably right up to the big night of November 9th.

The special, CMA Close Up Presents Road To The CMA Awards is a half-hour special showcasing the nominees from the various categories for the 45th Annual CMA Awards.  Interviews with Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton,Miranda Lambert, Taylor Swift, The Band Perry, Kristin Chenowith and Little Big Town are featured.  

Viewers will get to see the stars share personal things like favorite memories from awards shows past and perhaps a little insight into how it feels to be recognized by their peers and country music for their accomplishments.

The 2011 CMA Awards will air on Wednesday, November 9th on ABC at 6pm, and will be hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood.

"This special was an incredible success last year," said CMA Chief Executive Officer Steve Moore. "This is a great opportunity to ramp up the excitement for the upcoming CMA Awards and increase awareness in each of these markets."
