CMT is unveiling a brand new TV series in April that is set to find the next big Country music superstar. The show is a ten episode series that starts on Friday, April 8th on CMT at 8:00 PM. Next Superstar is not only a production of CMT but is also produced in conjunction with the makers of American Idol as well.  The show takes place in Nashville where ten contestants will live together as they compete to become the next big thing in Country Music. From the looks of things the age restrictions that American Idol imposes are not present on the show as there are even a few older contestants which should mix things up a bit. They are also putting the contestants in more real to life performing scenarios which should make for a nice change from the traditionl stage. Make sure to watch the video below for a sneak peak. Celebrity judges will the evaluate the contestants each week. Auditions were held in Dallas, Austin, Los Angeles, Nashville, and through the internet, but in the end the following contestants were chosen for the competition:
