Construction of the new Game and Fish Department lab and regional office has begun.

Laramie Regional Office Manager Debbie Wheat said the new building will allow Game and Fish to expand its operations in Laramie.

“The new building will provide labs for fisheries inspections, tooth aging programs and wildlife forensics, which are currently housed in the Biosciences building on the University of Wyoming campus,” Wheat said.

Wheat said the building will also provide offices for wildlife personnel and services, such as information education. Wheat said a shop where personnel can conduct equipment maintenance and inspections will also be included in the new building.

The building will be located at the intersection of Adams Street and Venture Drive in Laramie. Construction on the new lab and regional office is expected to be completed in summer 2018.
