Can the Wyoming Cowboys end the Mountain West Conference's longest winning streak for a second straight Tuesday? The answer will come, as the Pokes host Fresno State at the Arena-Auditorium February 18.

Wyoming (16-9, 7-5) has won two straight and climbed to fourth place in the MWC standings. They seek some payback against the Fresno State Bulldogs, who beat UW last month in California, 67-62. That loss snapped a four-game win streak for the Cowboys.

Fresno State (13-13, 6-7) brings to Laramie the conference's longest current winning streak of five straight. They haven't lost since their victory over Wyoming on January 29.

Wyoming head coach Larry Shyatt said, "During this win streak, they've done just about everything right. They've had commanding leads in most of these games, and they've stayed the course. They've had very balanced scoring, averaging nearly five guys in double figures, so very consistent. We saw that in game one, where they, again, nearly had four guys in double figures against us. So, we'll have our hands full."

What will it take? Senior guard Nathan Sobey said, "We just have to be on edge. Talk to each other; really be loud to each other. I feel like that intimidates some teams. If we enjoy getting on defense, talking to each other and making sure everyone knows if a screen's coming or what's happening next, I really feel like that's going to make a big difference."

Wyoming holds a 7-1 record against the Bulldogs in games played in Laramie.

The second meeting this season is set for a 7 p.m. start Tuesday, February 18.
