After a highly productive start to conference play, University of Wyoming senior forward Larry Nance Jr received a few accolades Monday.

Nance was named the Mountain West Player of the Week for the first time this season and third time in his career.

He was also selected the national player of the week by NBCSports.com and ESPN.com senior writer Andy Katz.

Nance averaged 23.5 points and 9 rebounds per game last week, as the Cowboys defeated UNLV and San Jose State to open Mountain West play. He also provided two blocks per game and 1.5 steals per game. Nance shot 63 (17-27) percent from the field and 80 percent (12-15) at the free throw line.

The Wyoming Cowboys are 2-0 in the Mountain West for the first time since the 2006-07 season. For more on the stellar senior for the Pokes, you can click here.
