The Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team is giving fans a chance to raise breast cancer awareness and funds for cancer research before their game against Boise State. The Eighth Annual Walk for Women will take place on Saturday, Feb. 9th in the Arena-Auditorium concourse.

Registration is $30 and includes a taco bar lunch, t-shirt and admission to the Cowgirl game that afternoon. All proceeds will benefit the Play 4Kay initiative, which has raised over $2 million to support women's cancer research. Kay Yow, former North Carolina State University head women’s basketball coach, was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1987, and passed away on January 24, 2009, after facing her third bout with the disease.

You can find more information on the event by calling Shelley Heward at (307)766-2464 or you can go ahead and register by clicking here.
