Cowgirl Basketball Inks Five

University of Wyoming release:

University of Wyoming Cowgirl head basketball coach Joe Legerski today announced the signing of five student-athletes to attend the University of Wyoming beginning in the fall of 2014.

"Five all-state players, five signatures for the Wyoming program," said Legerski. "The future of Cowgirl basketball is in good hands with our most recent signing class. We were able to improve our team with quality individuals that have tremendous balance between academics and athletics. Size, scoring ability and winning at their respective programs is a thread that connects this group. As a staff, we believe the 2014 class will have an impact in our program."

Here are the signees:

Natalie Baker, 6-0, Forward, Parker, Colo. (Chaparral HS): A three-time letterwinner while attending Chaparral High School. During her junior year, she was a First Team All-Continental League selection and an Honorable Mention All-State honoree. She helped her team to a 19-7 overall record and an 8-3 mark in league play, while they reached the Great 8 in the Colorado State Tournament. The previous season, her team reached the second round of the state tournament. Baker was coached by Tony Speights. An excellent student, she is a member of the National Honor Society and Honorable Mention Academic All-State. She is the daughter of Dan and Jane Baker, and has two siblings, Beau and Brooke.

Marleah Campbell, 6-2, Forward, Lenexa, Kansas (Shawnee Mission West): A three-year letterwinner while attending Shawnee Mission West High School. As a junior, she was a Kansas Class 6A All-State Honorable Mention selection and a First Team-All Sunflower League honoree. She averaged 14.8 points and 7.7 rebounds last season as well. During her sophomore campaign, she helped her team to a 21-3 overall record. They won the Sunflower League and Sub-State Championship, while finishing as the Kansas 6A State Runner-Up. Besides basketball, she also lettered in track and field. She is a two-time Kansas 6A high jump state medalist, while her team won the Regional Championship and was the State Runner-Up in 2011. She is currently coached by Scott Aldrich. An excellent student, she is a member of the National Honor Society, on the honor roll for the past four years, while being involved in student council. Campbell is the daughter of Kevin and Petra Campbell. She has one sister, Melanie.

Bailee Cotton, 6-2, Wing, Denver, Colo. (Denver School of Science and Technology): A three-time All-Frontier League and two-time First Team 3A All-State selection while attending the Denver School of Science and Technology. A team captain during her junior year, she was named the Frontier League Player of the Year. She was the top scorer and rebounder in Class 3A last season averaging 19.9 points and 11.4 rebounds per game. Cotton led her team to a 24-3 record and the semifinals of the Class 3A State Tournament. A three-time letterwinner in basketball, she is coached by Geneice Brame. An excellent student, she is a member of the National Honor Society. She is the daughter of Chris and Mary Cotton, and has one sibling, Bradlee.

Liv Roberts, 5-11, Guard, Missoula, Mont. (Sentinel High School): A two-time Class AA All-State selection while playing for Sentinel High School. During her junior year, she averaged 14.8 points and 9.0 rebounds while helping her team to their second straight Class AA State title. She was also named the MVP of the state tournament in 2013. She has also been selected First Team All-Conference twice during her career. A two-time team captain, her team has gone 41-5 overall over the past two seasons. She is coached by Karen Deden. She has been a member of the honor roll throughout her high school career. Roberts is the daughter of Raphael and Cheri Roberts, and has two siblings, Mitch and Ben.

Skyler Snodgrass, 5-10, Guard, Wichita, Kansas (Andover Central High School): A three-year letterwinner while attending Andover Central High School. She is a two-time All-League selection, while being named Third Team All-State as a junior and Honorable Mention All-State as a sophomore. During her junior year, she was the second leading scorer in Kansas Class 5A. Snodgrass led her team to a 35-11 over the past two seasons and a spot in the Class 5A State Tournament. She was coached by Stana Jefferson. An excellent student, she has been involved in many scholastic activities throughout high school. Snodgrass is the daughter of Max and Jill Snodgrass. She has two siblings, Chase and Hayden.
