Liv Roberts scored a career-high 18 points, but the Wyoming Cowgirls lost to rival Colorado State, 63-42, Saturday in Fort Collins.

The Cowgirls offensive struggles continued. They shot less than 30 percent from the field.

A 12-4 spurt by the Cowgirls pulled them within 39-28. They got within nine, 46-37, after a three by Marquelle Dent. CSU responded with a 10-2 run and closed out the game for their 15th straight victory.

Wyoming head coach Joe Legerski said in a release from the university,

“We had a great night from Liv (Roberts). She shot 50 percent from the field, perfect from the line and finished with 18 points. We need a greater effort from everyone and find more consistency with our scoring.”

After Roberts, Dent scored 14 points, while Natalie Baker grabbed ten rebounds. UW committed 17 turnovers.

Colorado State (18-1, 8-0) had three players score in double figures. They were led by Keyora Wharry and Ellen Nystrom with 17 points apiece. The Rams shot 47 percent from the field and scored 40 points in the paint.
