University of Wyoming release:

The Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team will look to get back in the win column this week at home. They will host the 11th/17th ranked Colorado Buffaloes, on Wednesday night, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Live stats and audio can be found through the women's basketball Gameday Central page located on the www.gowyo.com website.

The Cowgirls are 4-1 this season after a disappointing 82-78 loss against South Dakota on Saturday in Vermillion. Four of the five Cowgirl starters finished the game in double-figures led by juniorKaitlyn Mileto. She recorded a team high 21 points while shooting 9-15 from the field and 3-6 from beyond the arc. Fallon Lewis finished her night with 14 points followed by Marquelle Dentand Kayla Woodward with 13 and 11. Woodward led the way with a team high four rebounds while Lewis brought down three. Wyoming was 31-62 (.500) from the field but struggled shooting just 9-17 (.529) from the free throw line and turning the ball over ten times.

Lewis is averaging a team high 16.6 points and 7.4 rebounds, while Woodward is adding 16.0 points and 7.4 rebounds as well. Kaitlyn Mileto follows with 14.8 points while Landry is adding 7.8 points and a team high 3.2 assists. As a team, the Cowgirls are shooting 132-317 (.416) from the field while averaging 40.4 rebounds and 75.6 points per game.

The Buffs are currently 6-0 overall and ranked 11th in the Associated Press Poll and 17th in the USA/Today Coaches Poll. CU is led by Jen Reese who is averaging a team high 12.3 points plus 5.8 rebounds. She is followed by Lexy Kresl with 11.5 points and 4.2 rebounds.

Colorado returns four starters and nine letterwinners to a team that went 25-7 overall and 13-5 in the Pac-12 a year ago. This is will be the 47th meeting between the two schools. Colorado leads the series 35-11. The last time the two teams met was November 28, 2012 as the Buffs defeated Wyoming, 68-59, in Boulder. They are coached by Linda Lappe who is in her fourth season with the program.
