The Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team will continue their homestand as they host the Pepperdine Waves, on Saturday, Nov. 23. The game is set to tip-off at 6:00 p.m. following the Cowboy football game. The Cowgirls are 3-0 this season after a ten-point victory, 72-62, over Montana State, on Friday night. Four of five starters recorded double-figures led by sophomore Marquelle Dent. She finished with a career high 19 points. She was followed by Kayla Woodward with 17 points and a career high 15 rebounds.Fallon Lewis recorded 15 points and a career high 11 rebounds whileKaitlyn Mileto added 12 points. The Cowgirls shot 21-66 (.318) from the field and 25-38 (.658) from the free throw line.

Mileto is averaging a team high 15.7 points plus 3.0 rebounds per contest. Woodward and Lewis are each adding 15.0 points per contest along with 10.0 rebounds and 9.0 rebounds respectively. As a team, the Cowgirls are shooting 69-186 (.371) from the field, 46.3 rebounds and 72.0 points per game.

The Waves are 2-2 overall after falling to South Dakota State, 88-55, on Thursday night. Pepperdine is led by Bria Richardson who is averaging a team high 17.8 points while bringing down 4.5 rebounds. Ea Shoushtari leads the way with 7.3 rebounds along with 12.5 points. They return three starters and eight letterwinners to a team that went 5-23 overall and 2-14 in the West Coast Conference. This is the ninth meeting between the two schools.

Wyoming leads the series 5-3. The last time the two teams met was November 24, 2012 as the Cowgirls defeated the Waves, 72-50, in Malibu. Pepperdine is coached by Ryan Weisenberg who is in his first season with the program.
