Cowgirls Lose Bailee Cotton For The Rest Of The Season

Wyoming women’s head basketball coach Joe Legerski announced Monday that freshman forward Bailee Cotton will miss the remainder of this season.

She suffered a season-ending injury in the Cowgirls 76-71 loss at Colorado on December 21.

Cotton tore the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), medial collateral ligament (MCL) and meniscus in her left knee. She is scheduled for surgery over the next two weeks and is expected to make a full recovery.

Cotton was averaging 6.3 points and 4.9 rebounds this season for the Cowgirls and had started all ten games.
