Behind 19 points from Kaitlyn Mileto, the Wyoming Cowgirls pulled out 64-60 win over the UNLV Lady Rebels on Saturday in Las Vegas. Chaundra Sewell and Chelan Landry came through with clutch plays, as the Cowgirls earned their 20th victory of the season.

“I tell people it’s all about players and they need to execute,” said head coach Joe Legerski. “It came down to the end Chaundra Sewell hit a tough basket and you put those players in the position in order to be successful. UNLV had all of the momentum. It was a big win for the Wyoming program.”

Wyoming (20-6, 9-4) held a pair of 15-point leads in the second half. The last one was at 48-33 with 11:40 left. UNLV went on a 13-0 run and cut the Cowgirls edge to 48-46. An 9-4 spurt by UW put them ahead 60-52 with 4:27 remaining, but back came the Lady Rebels. They eventually tied the game at 60 with 1:11 to play. Sewell hit the go-ahead basket in the paint with 42.2 seconds left. Landry iced it with a pair of free throws with 2.9 seconds remaining.
