There’s nothing better than a nice ice cream cone on a hot midsummer day — unless, of course, it’s made from scoops of raw ground beef. Sweet Meat, a succulent new project by artist Jasmin Schuller, transforms meat products into deceptively yummy-looking goodies, like slices of cake, popsicles and petits fours.

Schuller’s materials range from meat scraps to animal blood and every detail down to the maraschino cherry atop one confection is from an animal (that cherry? Actually a pig’s heart). The obsessive level of detail is food art at its finest.

This food is obviously not meant to be consumed like our Country Cooking recipes where Kari gave us a great buttermilk pie recipe this past week.
