I'm not sure just how much super-secret, double-security is supposed to be surrounding the release of their next album.  But, when the bass player is tweeting about it, there may be an issue with security.

Don't shoot him, he's only the bass player.  Jay DeMarcus of  Rascal Flatts   has reportedly been

tweeting out details of the up-coming studio album.  What are a few of the details coming out of Mr. DeMarcus' twitter deck?

Well, according to the trades, details such as release date, talents that they're bringing to the sessions, and even a few words about some of the original tracks the band is contributing to the project.

“Another day tracking with the Flatts!!! New album comes out next spring!!!” DeMarcus posted on Twitter last Tuesday morning.

There's no working title for the new album, but according to tweets, the band IS producing a few of the songs themselves.

The band is once again working with producer Dan Huff and session guitarist Tom Bukovac.  This will be the eighth studio album for the band.

While they continue to hit the studios when they can, the trio has seven dates remaining on the Flatts Fest 2011 Tour with Sara Evans. Their song ‘Easy‘ with Natasha Bedingfield is the third single from their most recent album ‘Nothing Like This.’

Rascal Flatts has hit that sweet spot in their careers where just about everything they touch turns to gold.  The next album shouldn't disappoint.  Again, look for their latest album to drop sometime in the spring of 2012.
