Dixie Chicks and Willie Team Up For Fire Relief
The fires in Texas this past summer were devastating financially and emotionally for all those that lost lives and property. Now, an all-star group is getting together to try and help.
It's called The Concert for Central Texas. The Chicks and Willie join with Lyle Lovett and Asleep at the wheel for the October 17th concert at Austin's Frank Erwin Center.
There will also be appearances by Shawn Colvin, The Court Yard Hounds, Steve Miller, The Texas Tornados and the gre Joe Striani.
All monies raised from the concert will go toward assisting families dealing with long-term problems stemming from the fires. Those fires tragically burned more than 34,000 acres, killed two people and destroyed nearly 16 hundred homes.
The relief will probably greatly appreciated. Total losses are estimated at over a quarter BILLION dollars.
