University of Wyoming student Doug Balmain returns to play his brand of acoustic country blues during the Summer Programs concert series Wednesday, July 10, from 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. in Simpson Plaza.

“This Wyoming-based singer-songwriter expresses his music with an alt-country disposition that often bleeds into red dirt country, rock 'n’ roll, and even blues,” says Patricia Rader, Summer Programs coordinator. “The core of Balmain's songs lies in their genuine and honest lyrical qualities, while his fusion of raw, grassroots Americana influences gives his music a distinctive style and unique sound.”
