People of all ages listened to Christmas carols sang by local students, sipped hot chocolate, and warmed themselves near the fire pit in Downtown Laramie as they anxiously awaited the annual tree lighting and Christmas Parade on Friday, December 5.

The brief countdown culminated shortly after 5:30 p.m. with the bow and bell filled tree lighting up to numerous cheers and applause.

Soon after the lighting came the Frosty Comes To Downtown Laramie Christmas Parade watched by excited children, cheering teens, and smiling adults.

Approximately twenty groups participated in the parade with cars, motorcycles, floats, horses, and walking teams. Of course, Santa and Frosty both took time out of their busy holiday schedules to appear in the parade.
