It's been a very busy and productive summer for Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney as their Flatts Fest rolls through the last of the summer.

When the band set out to design the tour, they came up with the idea that it should be more of an event for their fans.  Flatts Fest features an interactive pre-show festival atmosphere and tailgating experience, with activities spread throughout the plaza and parking areas for all fans who want to make a whole afternoon/evening of the show. Flatts fans have been able to enjoy a mobile karaoke vehicle, carnival games, photo booths, putt putt golf, food vendors, and plenty of exciting contests.

The band is hoping that this unique form of country concerts changes the game.  And it probably will.  Instead of showing up for an 8 PM concert, Flatts fans are heading to the venues for openings as early as 3 in the afternoon.   It's also a way for the entire family to get in on all the events.  It's not just "Adults Only".

The final tallies for the summer tour won't be out til after everything wraps up in September, but early indications are that the tour and the format just might be a game changer when it comes to scheduling, performing and executing a brilliant marketing plan.  The band is already successful in the studio.  Now, they may be heading to the top of the heap when it comes to tours.

Stay tuned.

You can get more information on the tour at the band's website.
