Folk musician Luke Bell will perform Wednesday, Aug. 7, from 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m., at the University of Wyoming Simpson Plaza.  The show is free and open to the public.

A native of Cody, Bell is a singer/songwriter who performs music ranging from folk to country and even a hint of old southern blues.

“His rich voice and strong guitar will make anyone want to get down and dance,” says Patricia Rader, UW Summer Programs coordinator. “His roots belong to Wyoming, and his lyrics will connect with many listeners.”

According to a brief biography on Bell's website, the musician was a teenager in Cody, spending his summers working on his grandparents ranch.  "Without Internet, cellphones or television- he picked on his guitar and sorted through grandpa’s basement record collection of country classics like Jim Reeves, Hank Snow, Hanks Williams, and others."
