Back on Jan. 26, 2019, Wyoming Cowgirls head coach Joe Legerski achieved a milestone as a head coach with his 300th career win.

Now in his 16th season as head coach of Wyoming women’s basketball, Legerski continues to add to his already school record for wins. The Cowgirls are in the midst of a five-game win streak. The second victory in that streak was at home against conference-leader Boise State that helped Legerski reach his latest milestone.

Recently a number of former players throughout his previous 15 seasons took time out to record a personal message for the Cowgirls’ head coach. The video tribute was played prior to last Wednesday’s (2-6-19) win over Air Force. Coach Legerski admitted he had to fight back some tears in the pregame celebration.

Legerski also received a basketball recognizing his accomplishment but said he’d always remember the video of his former players’ personalized messages.

Wyoming hosts Utah State tonight at the Arena-Auditorium. The game is at 6:30 p.m. Legerski will go win No. 304.
