A free breastfeeding class is offered at Ivinson Memorial Hospital on the first Wednesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. The class generally takes between an hour and an hour and a half to complete.

For Wednesday, April 1 the class will take place in the Grand Room. For every class, the workers at the hospital’s front desk will be able to direct you to the right room for the class.

While many expecting parents take classes for delivery, many overlook learning about breastfeeding, which can take place over months and even years after the actual delivery process.

The course will provide information on how to successfully breastfeed, tips on how to overcome obstacles, benefits of breastfeeding for mothers and babies, resources in the community, and more.
