Laramie-based band Sunnydale High will perform a concert to celebrate the release of their latest EP, Teenage Necromance. The performance will be part of a series of events taking place at 8 Bytes Cafe to celebrate Free Comic Book Day.

Band member Seneca Flowers said that the idea for the band came about a few years ago after a "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" binge, deciding to combine Joss Whedon-inspired lyrics with personal experiences.

Of the band, Flowers says "We love playing shows and sharing music with people...We are most comfortable when we play for fellow geeks."

Free Comic Book Day celebrations will start at 11:00 a.m. with the distribution of free comic books at 8 Bytes, which will continue all day. Throughout the course of the day, 8 Bytes will also hold a costume contest and pancake eating contest. A full schedule of events can be found here.

The Sunnydale High performance, which will cap off the day's events, will start at 7 p.m. Entry to the concert is $3.
