Laramie is, once again, hosting its annual Freedom Has A Birthday celebration on July 4th at Washington Park.  2013 will represent the 23rd year the celebration has taken place.

According to the official Freedom Has a Birthday website, 13,000 people turned out last year for the 2012 celebration, which boasted live music, a children's parade, exhibitions, and the ever-present free lemonade, cookies, snow cones and watermelon.

Opening ceremonies are currently slated to begin at 9:30 on the morning of July 4th with the Children's Parade and the Opening ceremonies to follow that.  Then the action kicks off on the celebration's three stages.  This schedule is courtesy of freedomhasabirthday.com.
