The Allman Brothers Bandn (ABB) has announced that after 45 years, it will cease touring at the end of 2014. A couple of weeks ago, ABB guitarists Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks announced their departure from the band. Now Gregg Allman says it’s time to move on to other projects.

With Gregg’s brother Duane, they invented Southern Rock. But with the death of Duane and other changes, the band was strong on touring, made great rock and blues, but struggled later on in album sales and hits. They made quality music and now the sun is getting ready to set.

We have until the end of the year to see them one last time.
