Heavy snows across a portion of Northern Wyoming and Southern Montana prompted officials to close US Highway 212 from Long Lake in Wyoming to Vista Point in Montana. US 212 is the scenic Beartooth Highway with a summit of 10,947 ft and is prone to snowfall just about any time of the year. This same highway also closed on July 11th, on the Wyoming side, due to snowfall and slick conditions and limited visibility. The highway was reopened about 9AM today and is reporting wet conditions at this hour.
