A Loveland, Colorado family is recovering after being involved in a terrifying crash last Friday.

Tara Hildebrand, her 11-year-old son, and 9-year-old daughter were at the Loveland intersection of Highway 34 and Wilson when their Subaru was unexpectedly slammed into by a man who created a high speed pursuit in a stolen Toyota Prius.

All three Subaru occupants sustained serious injury. Both Tara and the 9-year-old required surgery. Luckily, these appear to be non-life threatening injuries according to a GoFundMe page.

According to our sister station 99.9 The Point, a 33-year-old man was responsible for the high speed chase. He had stolen the Prius in Fort Collins and driven to Loveland through primarily urban areas, at times reaching speeds around 90 miles per hour.

YouTuber Native Coloradoan captured the end of the crash on dash cam.
