Fire is always a concern in the summer months. With dry weather and high temperatures, it often does not take much for a large blaze to start.

Just this year downtown Laramie saw its worst structural fire in 20 years when on May 24 a blaze tore through a downtown building. Recently, the Owen Fire prompted evacuations and burned 450 acres before being declared contained on July 16.

The risk of forest fire is always a possibility as InciWeb currently shows four active forest fires in Wyoming. Three are in the Shoshone National Forest and one in the Bighorn National Forest.

With firefighters busy across the country, do you ever wonder how long it takes an experienced firefighter to gear up when preparing to fight a blaze?

Before a demonstration on residential sprinkler systems at the 2014 Freedom Has a Birthday Celebration, the Laramie Fire Department showed just how much time and effort it actually takes to put on all that gear.

How long do you think it will take?
