I Love Life Race To Benefit Local Cancer Patients
Laramie’s breast cancer 5K is back again for its sixth year. The I Love Life 5K takes place on October 4, 2014 with same day registration beginning at Undine Park at 8:15 a.m. Registration for all runners and walkers will end at 9:45 a.m.
This year is the first year that the event is offering a 10K race in addition to their 5K race and mile long walk course. The 5K course is certified by the Road Runners Club of America. The course takes runners through the tree area of Laramie. The start and finish of all the course is at Undine Park. This year's run is a pink paint run.
The 10K race will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by the 5K race at 10:05 a.m. and the mile long walk at 10:10. Medals will be given for 10K and 5K overall winners. First, second, and third places will receive medals in all age categories after that. Walkers will receive overall winner medals only.
Race day registration in $25 for adults and children. All proceeds will be donated to the Ivinson Memorial Hospital I Love Life Breast Cancer Fund to be used for Laramie breast and ovarian cancer patients.
Runners will receive a running hat, and a breakfast of quiche and fruit will be served after the race.
In addition to the running hats, a variety of pink items will be raffled off at the event.
