Okay, so here is the timeline as near as I can find out.  On November 9th, the Country Music Association Awards will take place.  The very next day, taping will begin for the holiday presentation.

The site will be Nashville's Bridgestone Arena.  ABC will once again be the network to broadcast the holiday themed television special featuring  artists telling stories and singing their favorite Christmas songs. After positive reviews in 2010, Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland will once again host the event.

“I love holiday traditions and am so excited to add hosting ‘CMA Country Christmas’ to my new list of traditions now!” Nettles said in a press release. “I’m gonna have to up my game this second time around, so I’m putting Brad and Carrie on speed dial for hosting emergency consulting services!”

Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will be hosting the CMA Awards on Nov. 9.  Although the taping schedule has been set, ABC has not announced when they’ll air the 90-minute program.

Last year, stars like Rascal Flatts, Reba McEntire, Little Big Town and Darius Rucker were featured performers for the special. Martina McBride shared holiday memories with two of her daughters.

No artists have been confirmed for the 2011 telecast, yet, so be sure and watch this site so you're up to date with the latest.
