Keith Urban, Danielle Bradbery to Kick Off 2013 NFL Season
'Sunday Night Football' intro singer Carrie Underwood isn't the only one who gets to be a part of America's favorite pastime. Keith Urban and Danielle Bradbery will perform at the kickoff of NFL's 94th season, making it a must-watch event for all country music fans ... even if you aren't into football.
Sunday night (August 4), during NBC's national broadcast of the annual NFL/Hall of Fame Game, it was announced that NFL's cross-country celebration, 'NFL Kickoff 2013 Presented by Pepsi' on Sept. 5 will include Grammy-Award winning singer Urban, who will perform live from a stage floating in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor adjacent to the Maryland Science Center.
This is his second time helping kick off the NFL season, and this year, the show will feature new music from his upcoming album 'Fuse.' The annual celebration has a little bit of everything -- football, fireworks and good old country music -- and leads into the season opener between the Baltimore Ravens and the Denver Broncos at Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver.
In addition to Urban, Bradbery, Season 4 winner of 'The Voice,' will perform. She will sing the National Anthem live from Denver. There will be simulcast coverage of the 60-minute pregame show from Baltimore and Denver, airing from 7:30-8:30PM ET on NBC and NFL Network.
Other fan-favorite country acts who have helped kicked off the NFL season in the past include Lady Antebellum at 2011's kickoff in Green Bay, Wisc. and Taylor Swift, who represented country music in 2010.
