Kid Rock and the very talented Sheryl Crow have, so far, teamed up on two mellow and memoralble duets.  They first had success in 2002 with the lovely "Picture".  and just recently with another country-rock ballad called "Collide"

Now the two have announced that Sheryl will be teaming up on the road as well.

Kid Rock and Sheryl are scheduled to play 27 shows together.  The tour, in support of Kid's "Born Free" album kicks off on July 2nd in Cincinnati and wraps up in September...September 2 in Houston.

According to Billboard magazine, the two have had discussions in the past about teaming up, but nothing concrete ever materialized.  The two have nothing but respect for one another, and Sheryl is quoted as saying she's such a huge fan of his that she'd tour with him "anytime, anywhere".

The two may take the opportunity during their live shows to put together a live album.

Kid Rock will be accompanied by his Twisted Brown Trucker band on the tour.  A few dates of note for local fans include:

July 22: Cheyenne, Wyo. (Cheyenne Frontier Days) W/ Sheryl Crow
July 23: Minot, N.D. (North Dakota State Fair) W/ Sheryl Crow

I can't wait to catch these two on stage in Cheyenne.  Hope you'll join me.  Here's an excellent vidoe of the song "Collide".  Enjoy
