Kix Brooks Working on Next Album

Well, so, is he an actor or is he a country artist?  Ever since the break-up of the monumentally successful duo Brooks and Dunn, people have been watching Ronnie Dunn continue on the path he's been on for decades.

Now, what about his partner Kix Brooks?

After the split, it did seem as though Kix was more than happy to be an actor than a singer.  He shelved his musical pursuits and concentrate on an acting career.   

Well, that's not how it is anymore.  He'll be taking the same path his former partner concentrated on and will be working on a solo project of his own.

"I'm probably halfway done with it," Brooks explained in an interview with the Associated Press. "I'm writing a lot of songs. I want it to be as good as I want it to be and I'm not in a hurry and I'm not saying when it's going to come out because when it's done and I'm proud of it, it will come out."

In the meantime, fans can enjoy Kix as he continues his multi-year gig hosting the radio feature American Country Countdown.  

If you're like me, you're looking forward to Kix showing off his country chops once again.  Ronnie Dunn jumped back into the music field with both feet ans has a one-two punch of successful singles in "Bleed Red" and "Cost of Living".
