‘Kony 2012′ Being Shown at University of Wyoming

Invisible Children has made quite the social media splash over the past few weeks with their new film Kony 2012. The half hour film has already been viewed over 85 million times on YouTube. While Invisible Children has taken its share of heat about their approach to stopping Joseph Kony, the University of Wyoming Student Activities Council (SAC)is offering a great opportunity to learn more about the war criminal and the organization that produced the film which has brought so much attention his way.

The SAC has teamed up with Invisible Children to show Kony 2012 in Laramie on Wednesday, Apr. 4, at 8 p.m. in the University of Wyoming Arts and Sciences Auditorium. In addition to screening the film, Invisible Children advocate Grace Nimaro will speak and describe her first-hand experience with the war.  Afterward there will be time allotted for a question and answer session in which audience members can speak directly with Invisible Children roadies and volunteers.  Merchandise will be available for purchase that will support Invisible Children programs and the “Stop Kony” Campaign.
