After serving the Laramie community for more than 65 years, local credit union UniWyo will open a branch in Cheyenne. The credit union announced this week in a press release that it has purchased property at 5249 Yellowstone Road in Cheyenne. The site will mark the first branch outside of Laramie and is set to open in Fall 2019.

UniWyo CEO and president David Krause expressed his excitement in a written statement, saying that "We are all very excited about our expansion into Cheyenne...We receive many requests from members asking when we'll have a branch in Cheyenne and we can finally tell them it will be this fall."

Though the branch won't open until the fall, hiring for the new branch is expect to begin in April. The new branch will have drive in hours Monday-Saturday, in addition to a 24 hour ATM and an after hours depository.

"We are thrilled to be entering a new market and to be able to bring our hometown values to Cheyenne" said Vice President of Marketing Mindy Uitterdyk. Uitterdyk added that UniWyo is a "community minded credit union who strives to make an impact on the lives of the members we serve, while having fun along the way."
