Laramie High School graduated 229 seniors during the commencement ceremony on Friday at the Arena Auditorium. After receiving their diplomas, the senior headed over to celebrate at Project Graduation.

Keynote speaker C.J. Box, a New York Times best-selling novelist, told the Class of 2012 that the secret to success is to "figure out what you want to do and then go do it." These senior have already shown that they are capable of accomplishing some great things. They have never been beaten in the PAWS science testing by any other 4A school in Wyoming, they've been a part of 10 State and 8 Activity Championships and totaled up have been awarded $3.61 million in scholarship money so far. U.S. News & World Report recently ranked LHS first among high schools in the Wyoming and in the top 5 percent in the nation.

Following the commencement ceremony, all of the seniors were invited to enjoy their accomplishment during the safe, alcohol-free party, Project Graduation. Co-Chairs Tracey Hiser and Debbie Heath said about 200 of the graduates headed over to the UW Fieldhouse for the all-night celebration. Laramie businesses donated food, prizes and money for the graduates to enjoy until 4 in the morning. You can see pictures of both the graduation and the celebration below.
